How do I stream live from a GoPro camera?

GoPro cameras are excellent for streaming action sports, outdoor adventures, or mobile vlogging. Using the GoPro Quik app, you can stream directly from your GoPro over RTMP. By connecting it to Stream Repeater, you can broadcast your action shots to Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook simultaneously.

Enable RTMP mode in GoPro Quik

The GoPro Quik app on iOS and Android acts as the controller for your camera. Power on your GoPro and open the Quik app.

Tap the camera icon, then tap "Control Your GoPro". Swipe through the bottom options and select "Live".

Tap "Set Up Live" and choose "Other/RTMP" from the list of platforms.

Enter your RTMP credentials

You will need a Wi-Fi network or mobile hotspot for your GoPro to connect to. In the Quik setup screen, select your Wi-Fi network.

In the RTMP URL field, enter your Stream Repeater server URL and stream key combined (e.g., rtmp://server/live/stream_key).

Choose your desired resolution (720p or 1080p). We recommend 720p for outdoor streams over mobile hotspots to prevent buffering.

Go Live and restream

Tap "Set Up Live Stream" in the Quik app. You will see a preview screen on your phone.

Tap the blue "Go Live" button. The GoPro camera will start encoding and publishing to Stream Repeater.

Stream Repeater automatically duplicates the stream and relays it to YouTube, Twitch, Kick, or Facebook at the same time.
